Flint Group Is Out of Cost Rising Absorbency
(Date:2008-12-01)
Flint Group, the inks, plates and pigment manufacturer, will add up the price of its printing inks by about 20% on July 1st under the pressure of increasing cost on raw materials.
The environmental restrictions cast by the Chinese government for the big event--- the Beijing Olympics--- speeded up escalating prices in crude oil related materials and shortages. “It is a necessary step when the current wave of raw material costs has continued to soar,” said Dr Dirk Aulbert, president of Flint Group. "The current dynamic in the raw material markets is putting a strain on the entire value chain and is forcing difficult messages to customers about the resetting the value proposition for our products," he added.
