Reusable packaging specialist Notbox is looking to expand its logistics business and target new consumer markets after appointing Jonathan Cobb as managing director
Cobb has been appointed by Notbox’s new owners and is looking scale up operations to target the multi-use, recyclable Notbox at markets that use traditional cardboard boxes.
While the firm is keen to highlight the environmental benefits and costs savings for firms moving goods in the supply chain, Cobb said that Notbox was also “well suited to businesses that need quirky, reusable packaging for a marketing campaign or for the consumer market”.
“This is an extremely exciting and timely opportunity and we see untold potential for Notboxes across numerous sectors globally,” said Cobb.
As well as overseeing the development of a range of Notboxes for consumer use, Cobb is also responsible for long-term quality control, industry compliance and product innovation.
“One customer using a million single-trip cardboard boxes a year in a cycle from its distribution centre to retail store will lease 125,000 reusable Notboxes to save over £200,000 per year. They’ve also calculated that every 100 boxes they take out of their supply chain will reduce their annual CO2 emissions by 74kg,” said Cobb.
Notboxes are available in a range of sizes and more than 20 colours that can be branded for customers. Empty, the box can be flattened so it takes up less space during transport and the firm offers both purchasing and leasing options.
Notbox was founded in 2006 and already works with a number of European retailers.
